Privacy at workPrevent confidential conversations being overheard.Privacy is a prized commodity, one which we should handle with care; not just in a lawyer’s or solicitor’s office but in the medical sector too. GPs, specialists, health care providers etc. deal with confidential information on a daily basis. It is wrong for their conversations in the consultation room to be overheard in the waiting room. Sound – in particular speech – would need to be masked in this type of environment. The same applies to the consultation rooms at insurance offices, banks, accountants etc.. After all, reading sensitive information on the front page of your morning paper due to insufficient measures having been undertaken is unacceptable. |
